looking for one female to rent available room in 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house located in south-east san jose. about 3 min. drive from the capitol and mclaughlin intersection where a gym, asian market, mcdonalds, rite aid, starbucks, and denny's are located. about 10 min. drive from eastridge.currently in the house is a family of five, including a toddler, community college student, and master's student attending san jose state university.
the room itself used to be my brother's who moved out. the room is painted green, not very big, but not super small either, has a bed, curtains, and may have a desk put in for your use. shared bathroom. use of kitchen, dishes, fridge, appliances is allowed but must clean up after yourself after each use. we can even cook together sometimes. living room is nice and open, tall ceilings. backyard is full of plants, including fruit trees. street parking only. we have 1 cat and 2 dogs - all outdoor pets.
no other pets allowed. no smoking allowed on the property. preferably no guests, but can have some visitors that do not spend the night.
i have some say, but my father is the one who will ultimately decide who gets the room. we both would prefer students with part- or full-time jobs. besides that, i just want someone i could potentially be friends with and commute to sjsu with. my father, on the other hand, would prefer someone who keeps to themselves most times, respectful, clean. he's had to deal with our (my brother and i) reckless, partying behavior in the past and doesn't want that again (we don't party hard anymore though, just fyi). as long as you don't come in drunk and loud at 2 in the morning, you should be fine. just keep lifestyle and belongings to yourself/ hidden from shared living spaces.
my family is known to treat roommates like family if they like them.
